Rinnai INFINITY A-Series: heat exchanger 10 years pro rata, other parts 3 years, labour 3 years. Fitted with a Rinnai controller that becomes 12 years pro rata and 5 years on parts.
Commercial installs get less. The figures above are for a single family home. Fitted anywhere else — a rental block, a motel, a salon — the manufacturer's cover drops to 1500 hours or 1 year, whichever comes first.
The labour cover depends on who installs it. Manufacturers only honour it when the cylinder was connected by a licensed plumber. We are one — so if we fit it, the full warranty stands.
A continuous flow unit heats water as it passes through, so it never runs out and it uses no gas while the taps are off. It mounts on an outside wall, which gives you back the cupboard the cylinder was in. We are registered gasfitters, so the gas side is done in house rather than subcontracted.
