Commercial installs get less. The figures above are for a single family home. Fitted anywhere else — a rental block, a motel, a salon — the manufacturer's cover drops to Heat exchanger 5000 hours or 3 years pro rata; everything else 1500 hours or 1 year.

The labour cover depends on who installs it. Manufacturers only honour it when the cylinder was connected by a licensed plumber. We are one — so if we fit it, the full warranty stands.
